National Citizenship Service

Duke of Edinburgh's Award

John Muir Award

For young people who enjoy wildlife and nature – the John Muir award is a fantastic way of embracing their interests and achieving an award at the same time. Get involved with four challenges – Discover, Explore, Conserve & Share. For more information please click here

Transform Training offer support for young people who aren’t in Education, Employment or Training. The foundation of their work is emotional literacy, emotional resilience and emotional education. Prince's Trust

The Prince’s Trust believe that all young people should have the chance to embrace exciting opportunities. They help 11-30 year olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to transform their lives. Find more about the Prince’s Trust here

 

 

The Skill Mill provides employment opportunities in water and land based management for 16-18 year olds. They employ only ex-offenders, which is helping to reduce reoffending , provide life skills, gain employability opportunities and develop self confidence.

Having a criminal record can cause a huge barrier for young people wanting to better themselves and they often feel the negative attitude from others around them. The Skill Mill recognise the difficulty young people face who are wanting to access education, training or employment – so they are removing barriers by providing work skills, knowledge and having a non-judgmental approach
